Dr. Sarah Meador - Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah Meador attended Virginia Tech for both her undergraduate and veterinary studies, receiving a dual B.S. degree in Biology and Wildlife Science in 2005 followed by her D.V.M. in 2009.

Her professional interests include ultrasound, internal medicine, and oncology. Dr. Meador loves teaching and currently serves as our Lead Veterinarian helping to mentor new teammates as well as foster a culture of continuous improvement and education within the hospital.

Outside of veterinary medicine, her hobbies include hiking, cycling, and watching hokie sports. She is over halfway to her goal of visiting all of the US National Parks!

Dr. Meador has shared her home with several special pets in her life: Pumpkin, the sweetest cat who helped get her through vet school; Jasper, the three-legged border collie mix that taught her how strong the human-animal bond can be; Eva, the sato from Puerto Rico that taught her all about behavior modification and resilience; and currently Jovie, the Bernese Mountain/ Aussie mix that helps remind her to take time to play and enjoy every day.
