Dr. Ronald Hallstrom earned his veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1972.
Upon graduation from vet school, Dr. Hallstrom came to Virginia and began working at Tidewater Emergency Clinic. In 1978, he joined Dog and Cat Hospital. His innate knowledge of animals and his enduring compassion for clients gave Dog and Cat Hospital a reputation for excellence that it continues to maintain.
Although he has chosen to retire from Dog and Cat Hospital - he isn't ready to fully hang up his stethoscope and has chosen to continue working a couple of days a week with us at our Acredale Animal Hospital Great Bridge location. He is also volunteering some of his newly acquired time off by working with a local animal shelter.
His interests outside of veterinary medicine include spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, hiking, running, and reading about history.
