Professional Pet Grooming Services in Hampton Roads
As an animal hospital, our primary concern is the health and well-being of your pet. We believe that grooming is an important part of maintaining your pet’s overall health. Regular grooming helps prevent skin infections from matted fur, overgrown nails, and can help detect skin masses earlier. For some breeds, it also helps prevent eye and ear infection. If a member of our grooming staff notes a skin or ear infection- they will consult our veterinary staff for recommendations. You can also request a veterinary exam or vaccinations while your pet is dropped off for grooming.
Our bathers and professional groomers will take the time to get to know your pet, making sure that he or she is comfortable and happy throughout the grooming process. We enjoy pampering your pet and will send them home with cheerful bandanas or bows.
Some dogs can be shy or fearful during grooming—Our groomers are trained to recognize when a pet is at their limit and allow breaks or recommend desensitization exercises you can do at home to get your pet to be more comfortable. Occasionally, a dog may be too frightened for us to safely complete their grooming-if this occurs the grooming department will refer your to one of our veterinarians to discuss sedation or training options to help your pet feel more at ease.
We feel that a puppy’s first few grooming sessions are very important to help build a positive experience associated with grooming. This will help prevent fear aggression during grooming and ensure a lifetime of pleasant pampering for your pet. To help start your pet off with a positive grooming experience we offer a $5.00 off your first puppy grooming. Please print the coupon below!
Prices vary depending on breed and service requested, please call to receive a custom quote for your pet.
